New Media and Sport: Repeated Confrontation with Failure on the Example of Ice Hockey Coach Josef Jandac

This thesis deals with the relationship between new media and sport. The main research problem is the repeated confrontation with failure on the example of professional ice hockey coach Josef Jandac. The aim of the presented thesis is to examine how Jandac's media image evolved on selected new media platforms (news websites and social networks). We also want to explore to what extent the content presented by each new media differed and whether confrontation with failure prevailed at certain times. Qualitative content analysis constitutes a means to achieve set goal. Based on the mentioned research method, articles from sport websites and posts from social networks were analyzed. The first group of sources includes the internet portals iSport.cz, Sport.cz and iDNES.cz/Sport. The second group of sources consists of comments by users on the official Facebook page of HC Sparta Prague and posts by Spartan supporters from the SHS fan club discussion forum. The research file contains a total of 132 texts (68 articles and 64 posts). The thesis is organized into theoretical, contextual and analytical section. The influence of new internet concerns on transformation of the traditional publishing house in central Europe

The thesis "The Influence of New Internet Concerns on Transformation of the Traditional Publishing Houses in Central Europe", based on the media convergence theory and theoretical sources from the area of current trends in media field, focuses on changes the traditional publishing houses are going through. The paper maps the digital portfolio of the traditional media houses of Axel Springer in the German market and of media houses of Mafra, Bauer Media and CME in the Czech market. The paper parallely focuses on portfolio of the chosen global Internet companies and the relationships between these new media concerns and the traditional publishing houses, focuses on the competitive advantages of the examined online platforms of the new Internet companies, which potentially compete by their aims with the tradidional publishers. The paper also focuses on the advantages and the options for the users and advertisers, and on the mutual cooperation and dependenncy of the both types of media concerns.

Security of Web Portals in Public Administration

The thesis is concerned with the issues of web portals security which are operated by the public sector in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes the basic terms and principles of public administrative with an emphasis on the computerization of the public administrative (or so called the eGovernment). In connection with the cybernetic security act there are described the standards of the information security management system ISO/IEC27001 and ISO/IEC27002 and the current OWASP methodology, which is focused on the area of web application´s security. Furthermore there is formulated the specific methodology of testing the web portal´s security of municipalities in the Czech Republic, the identification of weaknesses and interpretation of the ascertained outcomes. The methodology is verified within the case study of web portal´s security testing of particular municipalities. The established outcomes are documented, evaluated and the owners of web portals are given the recommendations to improve the level of their application´s security.
